Tablet polishers play a vital role in the pharmaceutical industry. Their main function is to improve the appearance quality and stability of tablets. However, due to the characteristics of the drug itself and the complexity of the production environment, polishers are often affected by drug residues, dust and other pollutants during use. Therefore, regular cleaning of tablet polishers is not only a key measure to ensure product quality, but also a necessary link to comply with industry regulations and ensure operational safety.
Preparation before cleaning
Before carrying out cleaning work, operators need to be fully prepared to ensure the efficiency and safety of the cleaning process. First, operators should undergo professional training, be familiar with the cleaning process and the characteristics of the cleaning agents used, and ensure that they have a full understanding of the equipment structure and potential risks. Secondly, the wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential. Operators need to be equipped with gloves, masks, protective glasses and protective clothing to prevent chemicals from irritating the skin and respiratory tract. In addition, the preparation of cleaning tools and materials should not be ignored. Brushes, rags, cleaning agents suitable for the pharmaceutical industry and water should be prepared to ensure that the cleaning agents used do not damage the equipment materials.
Cleaning steps
The process of cleaning a tablet polisher can usually be divided into the following steps:
1. Power off and safety check: Before cleaning begins, make sure the equipment is powered off and conduct a comprehensive safety check to confirm that the equipment is in a safe state to avoid accidental startup.
2. Dismantle removable parts: According to the design of the equipment, dismantle removable parts such as the feed hopper, discharge port and polishing chamber for thorough cleaning.
3. Preliminary cleaning: Use a clean dry cloth or brush to remove dust and drug residues on the surface of the equipment. For difficult-to-clean areas, it is recommended to wipe gently with warm water.
4. Use detergent: According to the equipment material and drug characteristics, select a suitable detergent and dilute it according to the instructions. When using detergents, avoid using highly corrosive or abrasive detergents to avoid damage to the equipment.
5. Thorough cleaning: Rinse all cleaned parts with clean water to ensure that there is no detergent residue. Residual detergent may have an adverse effect on the subsequent production of tablets.
6. Drying: Place the cleaned parts in a dry and ventilated environment to ensure that they are completely dry before assembly. Moisture may cause the equipment to rust or the drug to deteriorate.
Cleaning frequency
The cleaning frequency should be reasonably arranged according to the production situation and the frequency of equipment use. It is generally recommended to follow the following principles:
Clean after each use: After each use, the equipment needs to be initially cleaned to remove drug residues and dust on the surface.
Regular deep cleaning: According to the production plan, regular deep cleaning is carried out to fully inspect and clean all parts, especially those areas where residues are easily accumulated.
Special situation handling: Immediate cleaning is required after drug replacement, equipment failure or contamination incident to ensure the safety of the equipment and product quality.
